The first episode aired on Friday 10th June. The series opens another chapter in Yumi’s life after her relationship with Goo Woong (Ahn BoHyun) comes to an end. The drama opens with a heart broken Yumi, who struggles to accept the that their relationship has ended. Yet soon after, there is another knock at her heart. It is her colleague Yoo Babi (Park JinYoung).In Yumi’s cell village, there is a place where all her fan clubs are present. Among all, there is one secretive private fan club for Yoo Babi. At first, only 2 cells are part of that club, but soon, when Yumi begins to really see and ponder on the type of person he is. More and more cells begin to like him and the club grows.But the cells are not the only ones gushing over Yoo Babi, we are too! 1. Yoo Babi’s Straightforwardness Makes Him The Coolest Man To Exist
One of the major characteristics of Yoo Babi is his straight forwardness. Unlike Yumi, he does not hesitate to voice his feelings. In the drama, his straight forward attitude, compliments and gestures were represented as curve balls that attacked Yumi’s gates to her heart. This was even hinted at in Season 1. Though Babi does not really display his growing affection for Yumi. He compliments her looks or even works.In “Yumi’s Cells 2”, Yoo Babi becomes even more straightforward about his feelings. Yoo Babi asks Yumi to go to a park later where their favorite Ska Music band, Kingston Rudieska, will be busking. After the event, they buy ice cream and are on their way back when Yoo Babi finally confesses his feelings and asks her to date him.Later, Babi joins Yumi, Ruby (Lee YooBi), YiDa (MiRam) for dinner. When Babi, he is asked about his love life and if he was interested in someone. Babi, without hesitance, says that he is and even reveals that he was rejected. After that, the two had to share the bus as they lived nearby. He notices Yumi’s discomfort so he decides to get off, telling Yumi that he must be making her uncomfortable. Later, Yumi confronts him via texting. Realizing what could have really happened, he asks Yumi to wait for him so he can clear up any sort of misunderstandings. Even then, his straight forwardness flutters in her heart as he confesses how happy he was that Yumi waited for him. He even says that he wished the next bus did not arrive. This even impresses Yumi’s love cell.Furthermore, in episode 4, though it had been a week since they started dating Babi kisses Yumi. Yumi too before was shown to have such desires, but she was yet again trying to conceal them.
2. Yoo Babi Has Good Taste In Books
There is something extremely charming about a man with good taste in books. Especially if you are a book lover yourself. And so it became one of the reasons to join Yoo Babi’s fan club.In episode 1, Yumi is asked by Ruby about Yoo Babi. She realizes that she does not really know much about what type of person Yoo Babi is so she begins to pay more interest to him. One thing she did note was that Babi usually reads a lot. She stops one day, trying to discover what type of book he was reading, but he comes in.He offered her to borrow his book if she was interested. Yumi hesitantly took it but once she began to read it, she couldn’t sleep the whole night. Her writer cell immediately joins the private Yoo Babi club, greatly impressed by his choice. In episode 3, he even takes Yumi to a book café for a date.
3. He Even Has A Cute Side To Him
Whilst Yoo Babi appears as a calm and composed working man, a different world lies inside him. As shown by the end of episode 3, when Yumi’s love cell goes to his world. Babi’s cells dance and sing to welcome her. And as the drama proceeds, we also discover the cute side of her.In episode 2 of “Yumi’s Cells 2”, Yumi comes out to exercise but truly with a different intention. She comes all dressed up ‘in case’ she bumps into Yoo Babi. But that did not really happen. A bit disappointed, Yumi goes to the mart to get ingredients for the night’s meal. Just then she meets him. And what a coincidence! Both had decided to make curry though it was Yoo Babi’s first time. Yumi suggests making Indian curry, so Yoo Babi too grabs the packet for it, but a spider comes out of no where, scaring the poor man. And just like Yumi, the fans too coo inside at how adorable he seemed.In episode 4, after Babi and Yumi decide to date, the two shyly yet cutely giggle beside each other in the refreshment area. Since their relationship was kept a secret, they tried not to make it obvious, but Yoo Babi even manages to slip chocolate for Yumi in a file and would take any opportunity to approach her. Just like an adorable boyfriend.
4. Yoo Babi Is Attentive And The Sweetest
Yoo Babi seems to know the art of making others feel at ease around him. He always knows what to say. Not only Yumi, he also seems to make others feel comfortable around him and takes care of others.The very first curveball at Yumi’s heart was him asking Yumi if she was okay. At the time, Yumi had recently broken up with Woong and was struggling with it. He was genuinely worried and his words were all that she wished to hear.In episode 2, when the two run into each other at the grocery store, it begins to rain. Since Babi forgot his, the two share it. On their way, Babi tilts the umbrella so it covers Yumi whilst his own shoulder is soaked in the rain.He even lies to Yumi about going on a blind date when he actually had refused to because he wanted her to stop feeling burdened for rejecting him. Though he later finds out that Yumi too in fact liked him.Further in episode 4, Babi purposefully takes a long shower to allow Yumi to become more comfortable at his place. When he gets out, she is already asleep, so he covers her with a blanket and even puts a pillow under her head.Just like the cells in “Yumi’s Cells 2”, we are also swooned by Yoo Babi and are rooting for him.
