1. Suwon Hwaseong Fortress
Remember the scene where Woong and YeonSu went on a picnic but started fighting? It was filmed at the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress in Gyeonggi Province just outside of Seoul.The Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is actually a UNESCO Heritage site and was originally built to protect the city of Suwon during the Joseon Dynasty.
2. The out-of-business cafe in front of Suwon Hwaseong Haenggung Bugpolu
Woong’s house (the exterior) in the drama is actually a cafe that went out of business in front of Suwon Hwaseong Haenggung Bugpolu. It is the Northern Guard Pavillion (romanized as Bugpolu) that soldiers used to use as a lookout point.The area is surrounded by hanoks (Korean traditional houses) and the cafe is nestled between them.
3. Seoul Jungang High School
The location where Woong and YeonSu go to school is the Seoul Jungang High School near the Changdeokgung Palace in Seoul. Dramas such as “True Beauty”, “Love Alarm”, and “Goblin” were filmed here.
4. Gachon University’s JungAng Library
The library where YeonSu approaches Woong and asks him his academic ranking in school is located at Gachon University in Seongnam, South Korea.
5. Bukchon Hanok Village
One of the most charming locations in “Our Beloved Summer” is the Bukchon Hanok Village. It is so pristine and the perfect mix of modern and Korean traditional architecture. It is home to houses dating back to the Joseon Dynasty and surrounded by a number of Korean traditional tourist destinations such as palaces (Gyeongbukgung Palace/Changdeokgung Palace) and the Cheonggyecheon Stream.
6. Lotte World
The iconic scene where YeonSu and Woong breakup was filmed at Lotte World.Lotte World is the largest indoor amusement park in the world and one of the go-to places for entertainment in Seoul, South Korea.
