Take a look at the webtoon and the story so far below!Spoiler Alert! The story is set in Riverfield and more specifically, in two rival schools where all the most popular boys in town go. The transfer student in question is Sooha, to whom are drawn our protagonists. In episode 1, Sooha is introduced as a strange little girl in a quaint village where tragic occurrences are automatically relegated to her presence. Ultimately, she is deemed to be a vampire. A young boy named Chris befriends her and they soon start to get along like best friends. For the first time in her life, she understands what it feels like to have a friend and she confides in him about her special ability. Even though Chris trusts her, she is afraid of being perceived as a vampire and even worse, actually being one. To gain her faith, Chris asks her to bite her neck when she starts believing in him and more importantly, in herself.Chris and Sooha get closer and closer as they spend time with each other, until one day, Chris’ house sets on fire, prompting Sooha to use her ability to save him. However, as it turns out, Chris passes away and his body is found with bite marks on his neck and a stake to his heart. Years later, Sooha transfers to Decelis Academy, once again at a time when rumours about vampires are more rampant than ever. Not only is Sooha overjoyed at the school’s strict “no vampire” policy, but she is also relieved that she won’t be mistaken for one anymore. However, just as she is effortlessly cleaning up her room, holding her bed casually over her head, the young boy she crossed paths with on her way to her room appears. Terrified that she would be seen as a vampire again right after she thought she had made a fresh start, the boy calms her down by telling her that he trusts her, just like Chris did.In episode 2, we see Sooha passionately express her anger and hatred towards vampires, followed by her love for reading. Upon finding out that the boy loves reading too, especially old books at that, she instantly finds a common ground. After chatting for a while the boy takes his leave as Sooha wonders why she didn’t ask for his name. In seconds, he returns, asking her for hers. Thus, Sooha makes her first friend at Decelis. Little does she know, he (and a lot of others at this school), are the very thing she despises the most: vampires. Are you reading “Dark Moon: The Blood Altar”?
