The nine-member group is set to make their debut on Apr. 20 with their first EP “Youni-Birth.” Fans are looking forward to Lee EunSang’s new beginnings as a member of YOUNITE, and here are a few reasons why!
1. He’ll be redebuting with former “LOUD” contestant KyungMun
EunSang isn’t the only member of YOUNITE with fans already rooting for him! KyungMun, who was among the 75 contestants of the survival show “LOUD,” has fans waiting on his debut in YOUNITE, too! Like EunSang, he was introduced as a member of Brand New Music’s male trainee group, BRANDNEWZ in January and later announced to be part of the label’s newest boy group in February.They’ve both gone through a lot to get to where they are today, so we’re hoping to see them settle in their new group and establish themselves as YOUNITE’s EunSang and Kyungmun.
2. YOUNITE will be Brand New Music’s first new group in nearly 3 years
If you’re familiar with the company, you’d know that it’s been quite some time since Brand New Music debuted a new group. Fortunately, that’s about to change!The last group to debut under the company was the trio BDC on Oct 29, 2019, which debuted 5 months after AB6IX. We’re hoping to see more interactions between the labelmates in the near future!
3. YOUNITE already has a fandom name
After his debut as a soloist, fans of Lee EunSang were never given an offical fandom name, but that won’t be the case anymore! Unlike most groups who keep their fans waiting months for a fandom name, YOUNITE already has one. It was decided by fans on Twitter using a Google Form and a Twitter Poll provided by YOUNITE. On Mar. 18, the group announced that their fandom name will be YOUNIZ, which combines the group’s name and the word “need,” as YOUNITE needs their fans just as their fans need them.— YOUNITE (@YOUNITE_offcl) March 19, 2022
4. He looks amazing in the group’s new concept photos
EunSang’s visuals never fail to impress us! To nobody’s surprise, he’s looking better than ever in the group’s most recent concept photos for their debut album. YOUNIZ are obsessed with his pink hair, and we don’t blame them, because we can’t get over it either!
5. YOUNITE already has good music
Despite not yet making their official debut, YOUNITE has already released a song, and it even has a music video! On Mar. 30, the music video to their pre-debut song, ‘Everybody (Feat. DJ Juice),’ was released. With virtually no promotion, it’s already amassed nearly 3 million views!As expected, YOUNIZ are loving the song. This absolute bop has set high expectations for their debut album, so we can’t wait for them to impress us more than they already have with their music!
